Cape Coast, Ghana – Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital proudly launches Purple Month, a dedicated mental health awareness campaign observed throughout May. The initiative is part of a nationwide effort by the Mental Health Authority (MHA) to promote mental wellness, eliminate stigma, and expand access to mental health care across the country.

The campaign was officially launched in Accra on April 30, 2025, in collaboration with the MHA. Following the launch, Ankaful Psychiatric Hospital is carrying out a series of impactful activities throughout May to engage the public, raise awareness, and provide essential services to the community.

This year’s theme,
“Mental Well-Being, Your Voice Matters,”
